You just put your vision out there, and you'll get the readers you deserve.
Thanks to all the readers (and especially commenters); Smart Football's hits have been steadily rising so someone out there is reading. As another bit of blog news: I finally bought "smartfootball.com." The rights haven't been all transferred so the address doesn't work yet, but I'm almost there.
Just wanted to say that I've been reading the blog for close to a month now, and it's fantastic. Keep up the great work and thanks for what you do. It's solid.

ReplyDeleteI started reading about a year ago and now I have the site set as my homepage. Keep up the good work and thanks for putting it out there.
Been a faithful reader for over 2 years. Check it every day, and I am always disappointed when there isn't something new.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great work Chris.
Insightful and informative, this simple sight has made me think.
The best football blog in the world for anyone who loves passing game
ReplyDeleteThat is great news. Good luck on the move over to the new address. I made a similar move to using Wordpress on a hosted site...wish I had made the switch earlier. Can't wait to see the look and feel of the new site. Hope the transition is smooth. Art
ReplyDeleteYou can't beat a Wordpress blog hosted on your own site: the plugins, the ease of use (it's a great CMS) and the SEO potential make it a no brainer.
ReplyDeleteChris - I've been a loyal reader for a few years. I have learned a ton from reading your posts, both here and on the CoachHuey discussion board. Keep writing and I'll keep reading & learning. Thank you.

I have been reading for quite a while. I was thrust into coaching our football team some years ago and looked around for help in learning the game and stumbled onto this site. May all of my falls end up that way!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the vision here, Chris!
ReplyDeleteAlso @ Huey's! Great to see you give props upstairs to Homer Smith as well!
I've mentioned you @ times over at a fellow football blogger's site. TheNationalFootballPost.com has some people who have been a big part of pro football share their perspectives on scouting, front office work, play acquisition, etc.
Perhaps you noticed a spike in traffic from there also....
No, Chris. Thank YOU for your unending, highly informative, insiders-perspective articles that have increased my knowledge of the nuances of the game exponentially in just under a year of reading at your site. Excellent stuff, and it couldn't be better named.
ReplyDeleteSmart Football is right. Keep up the good work, PLEASE!
